Real Life Cyborg That Can Hear Colors

Written by James Anderssen on . Posted in Science, Technology

Imagine you had achromatopsia and were unable to see any colors whatsoever. Would you roll over and deal with it? Or would you choose to become a cyborg?

Neil Harbisson decided to go with the latter.

Now, using a color sensing, sound transmitter, Harbisson is able to ‘see’ over 360 colors, including some that regular humans can’t see in the infrared and UV spectrums.

He now even wears this new extrasensory device, dubbed the ‘eyeborg’, in his passport photo.
