Rocky Mountain Domain Conference

The 2012 Rocky Mountain Domainer Meet-Up is being hosted by myself and industry veteran Michael Law this week in beautiful downtown Denver. Law is the founder of the critically acclaimed domain name news source NameTalent.com. Law owns and operates a number of other internet properties including 3-0-3.com, DomainParagon.com and the Premium Offerings domain brokerage. I’ve been speculating on domains since early 2011, and traveled to South Florida earlier this year to network with some of the most successful domainers in the world.

Law hosted the first ever Rocky Mountain Domain Conference in 2011 and had a sensational turnout, attracting some of the top names in the industry to give their perspective on the state of the domain union. Esteemed editor of DNJournal.com, Ron Jackson covered the event. This year, Law opted to instead hold two shorter domainer meet-ups versus an all-day conference. It’s sure to be a fantastic time.

It’s an incredibly exciting time for domain names and the internet in general. There are now over 2 billion internet users in the world. We are also in the midst of a huge shift in the number of internet properties available to purchase or navigate online. Over 1,000 TLD’s or top-level domains were filed for earlier this year.

The Rocky Mountain region is home to some of the biggest players in the domain industry, including popular global domain registrar Name.com, and mega domain marketplace HugeDomains.com. We’re expecting a diverse range of folks to be in attendance, from beginner to expert, from the east coast to the west coast. If you’re a veteran or a curious bystander in the fascinating and fast growing web industry, this event is a must.

This networking event will focus on the present and future of domain name speculation and development. It’s free to attend and appetizers will be provided for our guests. A business casual dress code is enforced. It’s going to be a great time so we hope to see you there!
