Investing.com Sells for $2.45 Million
In the second biggest pure domain name sale to date, Alexa top 3,300 site ForexPros.com has purchased Investing.com for $2.45 million as part of their global rebranding effort.
ForexPros was a solid, serviceable domain name, but Investing.com is a name that commands the utmost respect the instant you feast your eyes on it.
Investing.com will become a global financial portal offering inside financial information in 18 different languages. Investing.com plans to differentiate itself from its competitors by offering premium high-end content for free.
CEO Dror Efrat said of the purchase: “We are thrilled to launch investing.com today and believe that with our streaming real-time data, powerful analysis tools and great interface we can become a preeminent financial portal for novice and semi-professional investors and traders.”
Investing.com is already live, and some of the insider content includes realtime quotes and charts, breaking news, financial tools, technical analysis and calendars. Investing.com aims to provide insight into all asset classes, including stocks, bonds, commodities, futures and Forex.
$2.45 million was a very fair price for both parties; the domain name purchase should continue to pay dividends for the ForexPros team for years to come.
