The “Top 11 Playlists” are a collection of some of my personal favorites, in no particular order, to correspond with the theme of the week. September was another busy month in the domainosphere. While thousands upon thousands of domain names sell every month, a large number of them aren’t publicly reported.

Lucky for us, there’s a fair amount that are, and lucky for us, we have Ron Jackson of DNJournal.com to bring these sales to us each and every week. Let’s take a look at a few of September’s top sales, as well as a few obscure transactions from the past month.

Skin grafts are effective at treating serious wounds such as ulcers, but are inconvenient, time consuming and costly. Similarly, compression bandages can take an extraordinarily long time to heal and are only effective 70% of the time.

U.S. and Canadian researchers have found that by coating wounds with a layer of skin cells, they can treat severe gashes such as ulcers more quickly and effectively than anything we have today.

In the interconnected digital era we live in, brand protection is more important than ever. This holds especially true when your brand is a generic term, one with over 1,500 trademark claims in the U.S. alone. The only way to compound that importance is when your brand and logo happens to be one of the most recognizable on the planet.

All of these combined factors didn’t seem to add up in Jerry Jones’ or the Dallas Cowboys‘ heads, as they let a monumental opportunity to lock up the exact match .com of their football squad slip away over what amounted to pennies in the grand scheme of things. Now the Dallas Cowboys must face the consequences of having millions of individuals worldwide exposed to a product that is not representative of their brand (in this case, much the opposite).

Radio communication throughout space has served us well, but with increasing demands on the quantity and promptness of data sent, something new is overdue. That’s where Laser Communication Relay Demonstration (LCRD or LaserCom) comes into play.

LCRD is a new technology that will revolutionize the way we connect throughout the Milky Way. With LaserCom, pretty much any type of data you can think of can be encoded into an invisible, short wavelength laser beam, and transmitted at speeds up to 100 times faster than traditional radio waves.

Peugeot engineers wanted to make a futuristic green concept car that rewrote the way we thought about designing an automobile. With their Onyx supercar, Peugeot’s goal was a success.

A few of the most notable features of the Peugeot Onyx include an uncoated raw copper exterior, a one piece carbon fiber interior coated in felt, and a sleek dashboard comprised solely of recycled newspaper sheets known as “newspaper wood”.
