Nigel is equipped with the bebionic3 hand that analyzes his muscle twitches in real time to control the hand. The muscle movements are translated into 14 different grip patterns and hand positions.

There are individual motors in each finger and the hand features proportional speed control to delicate cup or crush on command.

The prosthetic hand is said to be available in the $15,000-35,000 price range, which is pretty reasonable considering what it brings to the body.
